The first requirement in becoming a Scottish Rite Mason is that you must be a Master Mason in a recognized Masonic Lodge. In New York, membership in any of our Lodges that are under the Jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of New York are recognized.

If you're already a Master Mason, you may wish to petition Scottish Rite membership to further expand and enhance your Masonic knowledge. You can ask a Scottish Rite Mason for a petition, contact our Valley Secretary (AASRValleyNYC (at) msn.com) or 212.675-4335 directly for information, contact your own Lodge's Scottish Rite Representative, if they have one, or you may download and print a petition from this page.
